-First Secretary at Eastern Europe-Caucasian Countries Department (1991)
-First Secretary at the Turkish Embassy in Rome (NATO Defense College) (1993)
-First Secretary at the Turkish Embassy in Baku (1993)
-First Secretary and later Counsellor at the OECD Permanent Representation (1995)
-Head of the Arms Control and Disarmament Department (1998)
